Most times reclaimed wood is cheaper than new wood. However, there are no standard prices, and some reclaimed wood is more expensive than regular flooring materials.

Forest-Floor Reclaimed Wood: This type of reclaimed wood involves repurposing rejected trees from forests. These trees may have been deemed unsuitable for commercial logging due to various reasons but can still be transformed into beautiful and functional materials.

While the look and, to some extent, the texture of reclaimed or older wood can be replicated in new wood, the strength of old wood is usually far superior to that of newly harvested timber. It is fair to mention that some unique traits of any reclaimed and antique floor won't be able to imitate.

Stability and Durability Reclaimed wood is stronger and more resistant to climate than new wood. Much of the wood we use for our reclaimed products originally came from old growth trees in virgin growth forests.
